Asia Spa Institute (ASI) is set up for the sole purpose of raising the profile and professionalism of the burgeoning spa and wellness industry locally and regionally. It dedicates itself as a centre for continual learning and training through formal education and structured courses conducted by world class practitioners and authorities in these areas.
The spa and wellness industry in the region has grown exponentially over the past few years. The recent positive developments in and around the industry, particularly with the advent of new concepts in spa treatments and the emerging trends of spa tourism, has seen a renewed and unprecedented interest in the investment opportunities presented by these developments. The spa wellness industry is also being embraced by the hospitality and tourism fraternity as the main integrator in a traveller’s overall experience in a venue or destination. It is with these new developments and opportunities in mind that the ASI is set up. The purpose is to provide the much needed training and upgrading opportunities for the industry’s stakeholders and to expose the regional stakeholders to a wide range of resources to tap on. The programmes offered will move with the times and emerging trends. ASI’s start-up programmes offered which are the pressing issues the industry is now facing, ASI’s programmes will focus on the investment, development and management of spa & wellness facilities and how the spa & wellness industry can tap on the promising spa-tourism and medi-spa concepts. The programmes will continually shift so as to cater to the emerging trends and needs of the spa and wellness industry
